Five years later, and this love story deserved its moment!
When Hannah first reached out about planning a surprise celebration for her husband Doug; I knew it was going to be something special. Like so many couples, their original wedding plans were shaped by the uncertainty of COVID, leading them to cancel their wedding plans at the time. This past Fall marked their five year anniversary and it felt like the perfect opportunity to honor their marriage and love story.
Doug unsuspectingly departed their home for the day and the troops moved in to set the stage for the evening surprise! The afternoon began with Hannah pampering herself to beauty and then followed with a heartfelt and intimate vow renewal in the park surrounded by their children. Can we talk about the dress?!! Hannah stunned in her flowy pink dress – absolutely gorgeous. But the real magic was still waiting! After the ceremony, they returned home… Doug completely unaware of what was about to unfold.
Waiting for them was a yard and house filled with their closest friends and family, all gathered to celebrate their love in the most joyful, unexpected way. The decor leaned into a moody, intimate vibe that perfectly complemented their beautifully renovated historic home—soft lighting, rich tones, and thoughtful details that made the entire evening feel warm and inviting.
Guests enjoying a spread of delicious heavy appetizers, slices of wedding cake, and plenty of time to mingle, laugh, and soak in the moment together.
Being a part of pulling off this surprise was such an honor – thank you Hannah for reaching out and trusting me with such a special event. Wishing these two many, many more years of celebration and love!
