Lauren and Jalen – where do I even start?! I had the pleasure of working with these two, plus their amazing families for over two years. I don’t consider them clients, but rather family. They put so much trust in me to pull their vision together and I felt so honored. During their planning time we all moved to new houses, had lots of phone/video calls, survived COVID, and traveled to Colorado for the finishing touches of their big day. What started in Iowa ended up in the mountains of downtown Steamboat Springs, Colorado! If you’ve never been to Steamboat…it’s a must! So many cute boutiques, tasty restaurants, and stunning views. These two love to travel, so it was a no-brainer that they would want to host their wedding somewhere beautiful and adventurous just like themselves. Lauren and Jalen’s wedding wasn’t just one day, but an entire weekend of celebration. There are so many wonderful photos captured by Samuel Marz Photography that I’ve decided to split it up; starting off with their steakhouse rehearsal dinner. Babbling brooks, delicious food, and the perfect summer sunset made up their intimate dinner with family and friends.

To go with the vibe of the venue and Colorado; we opted for some fun leather details, driftwood accents on the dinner tables, and acoustic live music. So many wonderful vendors helped pull off this rehearsal dinner. Be sure to check them out!
